Why You Should “Not” Resort On Using Satellite Television System

February 21, 2012 – The introduction of satellite television broadcasting along with digital format transmission really made television viewing experience better. Not only it can provide great amounts of channels but it can also provide great video reception. But with such great advantages, there are still reasons why you should not use satellite broadcasting. Here are those.

If you think about it carefully, the disadvantages of satellite broadcasting are pretty obvious. Even if how powerful and great digital transmission is, there is still now way it can penetrate a cloudy or rainy weather. Satellite reaches almost anywhere in the surface of the earth. The only problem is that it can’t’ penetrate clouds. If you’re living in a cloudy place and bad weather is likely to occur then satellite broadcasting is not right for you. You’ll just experience great reception loss.

Another problem with satellite television system is that it can easily be affected by external factors. If ever bad weather strikes and strong winds hit your satellite dish, there’s a certain chance that it will be damaged. Even if the satellite dish is located in the roof, birds or bats can accidentally bump it that can cause improper alignment. If the dish is not pointing in the right direction, you will need a technician just to fix it properly which can be quite a hassle.

If you’re one of those fashionable type viewers then satellite television system may not be good for you. Just imagine having a bulky satellite dish in your roof along with the wires running down to your house. If you placed your dish in your lawn then that’s even more distracting. There are also places that do not allow installation of satellite dishes because of certain reasons.
