How to get the starry night effect with string lights

Measure the distance to find out how many string lights are needed

The starry night effect is given by rows and rows of string lights hanging from your ceiling, down across your lawn.  All these rows of white lights can give you all the lighting you need for the evening and give your garden a magical feel.  Unlike working with your average led grow lights, working with string lights is actually pretty simple.  First you have to figure out how many lights you need.  To do this, measure the distance from the roof to wherever your garden ends.  Caution: this project is not a cheap one, so you should expect to have to buy a lot of lights.  Then measure the width of your house.   You will want to put the strings of lights about one foot apart.

Buy the necessary paraphernalia and attach the lights

If your house is 60 feet long, you will need about 60 independent strands of light each capable of reaching your predetermined cut off point.  The next step is to buy the necessary paraphernalia needed to attach all those lights.  Hint:  it is much easier and cheaper to hire this service than to do it yourself.  When you have bought all the necessary gear, all that there is left to do is string em’ up, flip the power on, and bathe in their beauty.
