Eating lesser or Eating healthy – What’s better if you want to lose weight?

February 5, 2012 –

Nowadays we are increasingly aware of the problems of obesity and diseases caused by obesity; we try everything to lose weight. We often use the wrong methods to achieve our goal.

What is eating lesser?

Eating lesser is a decision we make, to reduce the intake of food groups that we think they make us fatter. Depending on the diet, for example, reducing the amount of carbohydrates, fats avoided, or protein and calories banned. When dieters (somebody that is on a diet) are so concentrated on calories or fat concentration often forget the essential nutrients the body needs to function smoothly.
If eating lesser is truly effective, the total number of overweight people wouldn’t rise any further. The main reason for the failure of those extreme diets, where you almost don’t eat, is that it requires you to eat so less that you will starve from hunger. The body reacts to this extreme approach by switching to the “starvation mode”. In this mode, all the stored fat and the body refuse to burn fat to produce energy.
This is the exact opposite of what you want to achieve. The diet is meaningless because the diet wants the body to burn the fat, but if it can’t the diet fails.
There numerous other side effect of those extreme diets, such as slowing the process of the metabolism, appetite and binge. Which all lead to weight gain – sometimes more than they had lost weight by dieting.

What is healthy eating?

Healthy eating means all day eating balanced nutrition rich meals. The beauty of healthy eating is that it can lead you in a natural and healthy weight loss. Especially when you combine it with regular exercise and adjusting the times you eat.
A balanced meal contains the right amounts of all nutrients the body needs. You lose weight because it allows the metabolic rate to be at an optimum level.
Healthy eating means that all processed, packaged and refined foods and beverages should be avoided. Too many sweets, fat rich foods, artificial sweeteners and caffeine should not be consumed. The sugar and salt consumption should be minimal.
The foods that are mending to be eaten are fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes and beans. These are the richest sources of essential nutrients and contain numerous vitamins and minerals. They also contain large amounts of fiber needed to get rid of the by-products that your body makes.
The meal frequency can be increased from three heavy meals to five/six lighter meals a day. Make sure you have enough healthy snacks in your home, so you can keep your appetite in fat or sweet foods.

What is a better way to lose weight?Healthy eating is clearly the winner. Always, it is not only a healthy option, it is also a successful way to lose weight and stay slim. This cannot be said of many extreme diets. Most extreme diets are total failures and ultimately cause much distress and damage
